Ilya Uchitel is a Moscow-born film director and screenwriter, a graduate of VGIK under Vladimir Khotinenko. His debut comedy “Lights of a Big Village” (2016) won two Kinotavr awards, followed by the acclaimed biopic “Streltsov” (2020), nominated for seven Golden Eagles.

He achieved major commercial success with two box-office hits: “The Flying Ship” (2024) and “Dad 2. Grandpa”(2025), both grossing over 1 billion rubles. Alongside features, Ilya actively works in advertising and short formats, bringing creativity and precision to every project.
